Age Hardening is a heat treatment that results in an overall increase in strength of the material under treatment. Solution treatment is the heating of an steel to a suitable temperature, holding it at that temperature long enough to cause one or more constituents to enter into a solid solution and then cooling it rapidly enough to hold these constituents in solution. 
Age Hardening & Solution Treatments can be treated by sheets, plates, bars and more.
 Solution treating is typically performed at temperatures ranging from 1800 to 2450°F in vacuum, followed by rapid gas fan cooling to room temperature. 
Precipitation age hardening is typically performed at temperatures ranging from 1000 to 2080°F in vacuum, inert atmosphere or air for hold times ranging from 2 hours to 40+ hours depending on exact material and metallurgical microstructure specified.
